POS•IM Controller


POS•IM Controller is a management solution for businesses with more than one retail location. It allows your store information to flow between the POS•IM Diamond individual store databases to a central (corporate) database. This information being passed gives the central site the ability to monitor the activities and needs of each individual store.

POS•IM Controller helps you perform the daily operational functions that become overwhelming in a multi store environment.

At the individual store, Controller gives the ability to locate needed merchandise, or transfer items to other locations. In addition it gives the manager powerful management tools and reporting capabilities to help them keep control of the business while helping it grow.

Features


Cash Management

To ensure good internal control and safe guarding of the entity's assets it is important that deposits made by remote sites be verified as soon as possible. POS•IM Controller makes this possible. Individual and consolidated ending tills information is presented to allow management to control the flow of cash and cash equivalents. Deposits, over/short, credit card summaries, and other methods of payments are presented along with summaries of sales point transactions.

Customers

The ability to track customers is a helpful key in the success of your future promotions. In a multi store situation this can become confusing as more than one record is created for each customer. With Controller only one record is created and customer contact information can be shared with all stores. However, this feature is optional. If you do not want to share customer information between locations you can turn sharing off.

Item and Vendor Management

Creating, changing, and maintaining items at each remote store can be a large headache. POS•IM Controller makes it easy. When an item is added or changed the data will automatically be exchanged with all other locations.

This also provides both the store and corporate office with powerful reporting capabilities on both operation and inventory status for all locations. Reports can be run on an individual store basis, or as a whole.

Communication

POS•IM Controller uses Apple® technology to make it user friendly and dependable. iCal is used to regulate the timing and set the scheduled intervals for data exchanges. Apple Scripts are used to automate the process by instructing your computer to exchange the information with Central. iDisk eliminates the complications of routers, firewalls, and security. Data is distributed and moved from a central iDisk for all locations. A .Mac® account is required for iDisk.

Reporting

There are nine powerful reports built into Controller. These reports include a combined Sales Report, Transaction Summary, On Hand Report, etc. Reports can provide both the store and corporate office with critical information used to manage retail operations.

Transfers

Insuring that transfers of inventory items between locations is properly controlled and managed is a big worry for many multi-site groups. POS•IM Controller's transfer features make that control simple with automated transfer and tracking features. Controller supports transfers from warehouse to store, or store to store. Detailed transfer documents help you control the transfer process and monitor inventory movement.

Visibility of Items Status

If the customer wants the item, never lose the sale because you don't know if any other store has it in stock. The item status and quantity will be visible at all locations and/or the warehouse.
